Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 medium yellow onion chopped
  • ½ pound ground pork
  • 2 garlic cloves minced
  • 2- inch piece ginger minced
  • 1 head cabbage shredded (should yield 3 to 4 cups)
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon fish sauce
  • 1 teaspoon toasted sesame oil
  • 1 14- ounce jar spicy kimchi juice and all
  • 4 cups Chicken Bone Broth
  • 2 scallions thinly sliced

Cooking Instructions


Step 1

  • In a large pot over medium heat, warm the coconut oil until melted.

  • Add the onion and cook until translucent, 4 to 6 minutes.

  • Add the ground pork and cook, breaking it up with a spoon, until browned, 8 to 10 minutes.

  • Add the garlic and ginger and cook for another minute.

  • Add the cabbage. Then stir in the soy sauce, fish sauce, sesame oil and kimchi and kimchi juice.

  • Add the bone broth and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to a simmer and cook, covered, until the cabbage is completely soft, 15 to 20 minutes.
